Our Animals

Read on to learn a bit about our unique little herd and to find the answers to our most commonly asked questions!

Rudy

Rudy is our beloved miniature horse. Gracie rescued him from an unhealthy situation in 2019, and he has lived with us ever since! According to his vets, Rudy is between 20 and 25 years old. He has a few health issues, but for his age he is healthy and spry. While he is considered to be a senior, at his most recent check-up his vet suggested he might live another 10+ years! Rudy loves the attention he gets from cart visitors, so feel free to say “hi” to him through the fence!

Clarence & Earl

Clarence (beige + white) and Earl (black + white) are the two original members of our misfit herd. Believe it or not, they are twin brothers! We adopted them in 2017 as babies and have laughed at their antics nearly every day since. They have distinctive personalities… even their taste in treats is different from one another! Please feel free to visit with these silly guys through the fence— they certainly love the attention!

Wally

When Wally was born, his mother refused to feed him and the rancher who owned him decided to “let nature to take its course”. Lucky for him, our lovely neighbors stepped in and rescued him. They called Gracie and asked if she would want to take him, to which she of course said an emphatic “yes”! Wally came to us at 2 days old with pneumonia, injuries, and skinny as can be. Flash forward through months of bottle feeding, vet visits and TLC, and Wally is now a thriving adult at around 300+ pounds! He is so silly, and fits in well with our “island of misfit toys” in the front yard!

Please note that while we welcome guests to visit with our animals through the fence, we ask that you refrain from feeding the animals due to their special medical conditions, nearby toxic plants, and the risk of accidental biting. Thank you for your cooperation!
